Roth Capital 5th Annual Conference in NYC
The fifth annual New York Institutional Investor Conference presented by Roth Capital Partners will open in New York City on 5 September 2007. The invitation-only two-day event lists more than 230 presenting companies representing a market capitalization of $250 million along with 1,200 institutional investor/buyside attendees and more than 30 companies from China.
The conference continues to grow each year, according to Gordon McBean, director of research for Roth Capital. “More than 2,000 one-on-one meetings were held at the 2006 conference and we’ll likely surpass that number this year,” he said.
Participating companies will represent technology, healthcare, financial services, and consumer products and feature a China Track. “We’ve brought together companies from both our Research Universe as well as undiscovered companies that we believe are worth a closer look,” said McBean.
Also, in the final planning stages are several informational sessions led by industry leaders and experts on topics of interest. “Soon, we will be announcing the details of sessions that have become a very popular and well received staple of our conferences,” said McBean. “On tap are panels discussing the ideal climate in China; an informative session on the rules and regulations involved in structuring Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPEs); a session on Blank Check Companies (sometimes referred to as SPACs); and a comprehensive session on the Globalization of Stock Exchanges.”
